In our newest building on campus we host some fantastic facilities for our SM6 students which include:
- All students are issued with a Chromebook for use throughout their time with us at SM6. (Alternatively, students may bring their own device and register this with us on our college network)
- Power-up points and free WiFi on every level for students to use their Chromebooks during their study periods.
- Digital Learning – all aspects of our curriculum have a dedicated googleclassroom where teachers and students will work together on classwork, homework and independent study.
- Extended hours access – students may use our sixth form study facilities from 7.30am to 6.00pm on most days.
- Books and the latest digital resources are accessible from our Learning Resource Centre to support their studies.
- The Café Pod – exclusively for Sixth Form students.
- A fully equipped state-of-the-art gym. Sixth Form students have the opportunity of access to this gym for a cut price annual fee with bonus extras (no monthly charges).
- A kitchenette area for the exclusive use of SM6 students with hot water access, a fridge, microwaves and toasters provided.
- The incredible ‘Theatre of Dreams’ in which SM6 gatherings and a variety of shows and productions take place.
- A range of work and social spaces, including silent study areas, positioned throughout the building.
- Outdoor picnic area and garden, exclusive to SM6 students.
- Modern, open plan art and design area with industry standard equipment.
- A dedicated multi-faith prayer room located on the top-floor of the SM6 building, and access to our beautiful on-site Chapel and the Chaplaincy Team (both located within the main school).
- A dedicated Wellbeing room, providing a ‘safe space’ and area to chill out and relax, or engage with our student support services.
- A dedicated Learning Support resource for SM6 students, providing individual and bespoke support to students with a range of learning needs, including those with SEND and EHCP requirements.
- Access to advice and support from our Full Time Level 6 Qualified Director of Careers and Progression, for individualised 1-2-1 careers advice and guidance at any time throughout their time at SM6.
