Pupil Premium

Since 2011, the Government has provided additional funds to schools called the Pupil Premium.
The Pupil Premium is given to publicly funded schools to raise attainment of disadvantaged pupils and to close the gap between them and their peers. In addition, funds have been made available for Covid-19 recovery some of which may be allocated to PP.

We receive additional funds from the Government for those pupils who are in receipt of Free School Meals; in the care of the Local Authority or those from Service families. This funding is used to support them; enhance their educational experiences and reduce any gaps in their achievement when compared to the rest of the school population.

We are required to account for these funds very carefully and to publish a brief summary of how pupil premium funding has been used and its impact.

For the academic year 2025-26 the funding rates will be as follows:

  • £1,075 for secondary-aged pupils (PP)
  • £2,630 for each LAC
  • £350 for each HM Forces

For the academic year 2025-26, the Pupil Premium funding we receive:

£417,100 for FSM6,

£3,500 for SCPP, and

£31,560 for LAC-PP
