St Mary’s College has developed strategic partnerships which provide our students with an ever increasing outstanding offer.
St Mary’s College has developed strategic partnerships which provide our students with an ever increasing outstanding offer.
We have had a strategic partnership with the Tigers Trust for a number of years. This partnership has been enhanced and we now have a full time Tigers Trust officer on site as St Mary’s College has been designated as one of the First Community Hub Schools. In addition, we have a partnership with Hull FC and have a Director of Rugby on site for three days per week to develop rugby within the male and female curricular and extra-curricular programme.
Working with other partners such as the NHS, the local community through its access to facilities. This will provide a major contribution to the development of sport in Hull but also provide important resources for St Mary's College to sustain and maintain the outstanding facilities which its students and community users enjoy.
Hull Active Schools
In response to the changes within school sport locally, regionally and nationally from 2010 onwards, St Mary’s College in partnership with other stakeholders in the city have ensured that a broad, balanced and comprehensive school sport competitions programme has continued to run in the city of Hull. Strategic plans are in place to continually develop the offer to students and ensure a continued provision for future generations.
Hull Active Schools is a not for profit organisation which provides competitive opportunities for children within primary, secondary and special schools in over 25 sports and activities engaging 30,000 student attendances each year. These include traditional association based activities such as football, rugby league and netball and newer inclusive based activities such as goalball and table cricket.
