Macbeth at Hull Truck Theatre

Over two nights on the 10th & 11th July, schools from across Hull came together to create two performances of Macbeth.

These evenings were the culmination of a year working on Macbeth with students across Hull and working with students of different ages.

Each school involved took a section of Macbeth and created their own unique performance which told tell part of the story of Macbeth Students of all ages were involved from the Early Years Foundation stage to Y13 pupils in 6th forms.

The performance was organised as part of the Hull Associate Schools Programme which is a partnership between Hull Truck Theatre, St Mary’s College and the Royal Shakespeare Company.

The aim of this partnership is to raise student’s engagement with Shakespeare, to improve the teaching of Shakespeare and access to Shakespeare for young people.
