A Northern Soul duo visit SMC

Sean McAllister has created a number of documentaries throughout his career and the students focused on A Northern Soul which explored the life of Hull resident, Steve Arnott, and his dream to create The Beats Bus, a hip-hop workshop for underprivileged local children. 

The purpose of this visit was to educate the students on film-making and what it takes to be a successful documentary film-maker. The students had the opportunity to ask questions to the pair which gave them the chance to learn about the behind-the-scenes action of creating a documentary and how Steve is succeeding with his hip-hop workshops.
